What do the career paths of a punk rock singer, a Princeton basketball coach and a former White House Chief of Staff have in common? The Army of Gamechangers podcast seeks to answer that question through a series of short interviews with innovative leaders, artists and entrepreneurs — from former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta to Pennywise front-man Jim Lindberg.

CEO and Philanthropist Vipe Desai launched Army of Gamechangers to highlight career and leadership advice from some of the most interesting people he knows. “After more than 30 years of working with startups and non-profits, I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with some amazing people” says Desai. “Each week, I sit down with one of them to talk about what they’re working on now and learn about their best career and leadership advice.”

Guests range from well-known leaders such as Erik Logan, President of the Oprah Winfrey Network, to lesser-known but highly influential entrepreneurs, such Izzy Tihanyi, whose all-women’s surf school broke down barriers for women in action sports. A recent episode featured Princeton women’s basketball coach Courtney Banghart, who was named by Fortune Magazine as one of the world’s “50 Greatest Leaders” after she took a lackluster team on to win five separate Ivy League championships. Fortune notes that Banghart accomplished these wins while holding the players to Princeton’s high academic standards.

“My goal is to build an army of game changers — people who will make their communities a better place because of the work they do and the brands they’re going to build,” says Desai. “I’ve been humbled by some of the phenomenal people I’ve met, and this podcast is a way to offer future leaders the information I wish I had when I started out.”
